How to Reserve a Cabaña

We have tried to make the process of reserving a cabin as easy and as painless as possible. Please read the following information carefully. If you do not understand our policies, please e-mail or call us for clarification. We will be happy tp assist you in any way. Our reservation consultants are fluent in English and Spanish.

Our cabins are very popular and often will book up weeks in advance. Summer weekends and Chilean holidays are especially popular. We urge you to make your reservation as soon as you have finalized your plans to insure that you are able to reserve the cabin and date that you desire.


 
Cabaña Reservation Policies

1) Confirmed cabin reservations require a 50% credit card guarantee, or a minimum 50% cash deposit into our reserve bank account. All reservations are tentative and subject to cancellation without notice until we receive this credit card guarantee or deposit.

2) Two weeks from the rental date, we require either a credit card guarantee or full payment for the rental. All reservations are subject to cancellation if we do not receive this payment by the due date.

3) Once we have received and verified your credit card number, or received your faxed verification of a deposit in our reserve bank account, we will e-mail or fax you with written confirmation of your reservation. Your reservation is not confirmed until you receive this written confirmation.

 
 
Cabaña Reservation Options

To request a reservation over the Internet.....

Please complete our Cabin Reservation Form. You will need an e-mail address and a credit card to complete this form. To access the form, read the remainder of this page carefully then click the "I Accept" button near the bottom of this page. Internet reservations are checked during normal office hours Monday - Friday. We do not check internet reservations or email during our busy weekends or holiday periods. If you email us during these periods we will respond to your request during our normal weekday office hours. For last minute reservation requests (two days or less), it is generally better to contact us by telephone.

Note: We accept all major credit cards and most debit cards for internet reservations. Your card is used as a guarrantee to hold the reservation and will be charged 50% of your total charges at the time we email you confirmation. For your protection, you should only send us your credit card information over the internet using our Cabin Reservation Form. This form sends us your card information and other details in a secure encrypted format that cannot be accessed by third parties.

To make a reservation by telephone or fax.....

You will need a valid major credit card or be prepared to deposit the required payment into our reserve bank account. Please contact us at the numbers listed below. Our reservations office telephone hours are from 09:00AM to 18:00PM Monday through Friday, Pacific South American Time.

Payments

Payments can be made by credit card, by depositing funds into our reserve bank account, or by paying in person at our office.

Credit Card Payments

We accept all major credit cards and most debit cards. You may use our online reservation form for this type of payment.

Cash Payments

We accept cash payments in Chilean pesos, United States dollars or travelers checks issued by VISA or American Express. We also will accept bank checks drawn on Chilean banks. US dollars and travelers checks are accepted at the approximate current dollar/peso exchange rate. If you prefer to exchange money or cash travelers checks before arriving, you will find a "Casa de Cambio" (money exchange) at the Santiago International Airport, or in various other locations in Santiago. Alternately, there is a bank ATM which accepts Visa and MasterCard for cash withdrawals in the nearby town of San Jose or in various locations in Santiago. A 10% service charge will be added to all travelers check purchases.

This page requires a password to access. Please submit a reservation form (or call us) and state your desire to pay through direct deposit and we will supply you with the password to access this page. After you have made the deposit, you will need to fax a copy of the bank deposit slip to our office for verification.

 
 
Cancellation and Change Policies

1) Except as noted below, we do not issue deposit refunds. For our refund policies to take effect, all cancellations or date changes must be received in writing, either by e-mail, fax or regular mail. We accept cancellations by telephone, however they must be followed up in writing. All cancellations and reservation changes must be emailed to reservas@cascada.net and not to any of our other email addresses. The following refund schedule will apply in all instances:

Cancellations

a) If we receive your written notice of cancellation with more than two week's notice before your reservation date, we will refund your deposit, minus 10% of the total rental fee.

b) If we receive your written notice of cancellation with more than one week's notice, but less than two week's notice before your reservation date, we will refund your deposit, minus 20% of the total rental fee.

c) If we receive your written notice of cancellation one week or less in advance of your arrival date, deposit refunds are not possible.

d) If we receive your written notice of cancellation with less than 72 hours notice in advance of your arrival date, ,or if you fail to claim your cabaña or room on the date(s) reserved, you will be charged the full rental fee (deposit plus the balance due).

Date Changes

a) If we receive your written notice of date changes with more than 72 hours notice, a 10% service fee will be applied to changes that require us to move one or more reserved nights.

b) If we receive your written notice of date changes with less than 72 hours notice and we are unable to rebook your original reserved dates with another party, you will be charged the full rental fee for the original booking and there will be no refund.

 

2) All cancellation or change fees will be applied to your credit card or deducted from your deposit depending upon your method of payment.

3) If the above mentioned guidelines are followed, we will gladly issue any refunds due. Cascada de las Animas does not allow chargebacks to occur to its merchant accounts and contracts with VISA / MC International. We will use this document and customer's agreement at the time of reservation to wholeheartedly fight a chargeback and / or dispute. Cascada de las Animas will be the sole arbiter in the event of a dispute over cancellation refunds.
